Did Samsung Russia Just Accidentally Leak Images Of The Galaxy Note20?

Samsung Russia might just have leaked one of the most hotly anticipated phones of 2020 on its own website. Images of a copper or bronze Samsung Galaxy Note 20 appeared online. They were first spotted by Ishan Agarwal on Twitter.

We’ve been expecting the Galaxy Note20 to take the familiar design of the Galaxy S20 and turn it up a notch, something that these images definitely appear to show. They’re definitely of an unreleased phone, too, so the smart money is on this very much being Samsung’s next big flagship.

Oddly, The Verge noted that the images do remain on the Samsung Russia website, but under the name of a more familiar Galaxy Note device.

The Verge has confirmed that the images do currently appear on Samsung’s Russian website for the Galaxy Note 8, as the background for a section that reads “Discover the next generation Note” — which links out to the Galaxy Note 10, not a new phone. Given the mismatched colors, it seems possible that whoever built Samsung’s site here may have grabbed the wrong assets and accidentally put up a picture of the next next-gen Note — the Galaxy Note 20 — instead.

However, as of right now the images seems to have been pulled, in fact all content from the URL seems to have been pulled altogether.

It is indeed possible that someone simply managed to get their hands on the wrong assets and that was the end of that. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note20 toward the end of the summer months so the timing of new images being available does fit. Although we obviously weren’t supposed to see them just yet!

The images themselves do also match case leaks we’ve previously seen, and leaker Ice Universe has also previously said that we should expect a new copper color.
