How To Add Memes / Rage Faces To The Native Keyboard On iPhone

Ben Reid·February 23, 2013
It's been quite a long time since we've covered anything meme-related here at Redmond Pie, and joining the many great apps we looked at last year - notably Memefier - comes a jailbreak tweak which adds a roster of over 350 rage faces to your iOS keyboard. Compatible with iPhones and iPod touch devices running iOS 6 or above, it provides you with several different memes to suit every occasion, and all are certain to put a smile on your recipient's face.

Paul Morris·February 23, 2013
Sn0wbreeze 2.9.10 has just been released to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 untethered, but first things first, if you have an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, or any of the other newer iOS device, you should follow our tutorial posted here to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 using Evasi0n.

How To Get Siri To Read New Tweets In Your Timeline On iPhone

Ben Reid·February 22, 2013
Since arriving with iOS 5, it's fair to say Siri has garnered fairly mixed publicity. It has its uses, of course, and recent improvements have certainly broadened its functionality, but the jury's out regarding whether it's something to be used on a daily basis, or just a novelty. Certainly, if that robotic (yet oh-so feminine) voice could be utilized for, say, the purpose of reading tweets out, we may consider calling on it (her?) services more frequently than most of us currently do. Thanks to TweetFeed, a jailbreak tweak by Devin LaFleur, Siri can indeed be used for the convenient purpose of catching up on your latest batch of <140's, and if you do find yourself sarcastically reading through some of the repetitive utterances of individuals in your timeline, there may also be some comedic value thrown in there, too.

Official Second Screen PlayStation 4 App For iOS And Android Announced

Ben Reid·February 22, 2013
During the big announcement of the PlayStation 4 yesterday, game developer Evolution Studios mentioned that companion app for Android tablets to its Drive Club title would allow gamers to communicate with others from a tablet running Google's software. At the time, it wasn't clear how far compatibility would go with other mobile devices, but Sony has just announced a new version of its ”PlayStation App”, which in turn offers a little more information on the matter. As well as being available to both the Android and iOS-using faithful, it will turn tablets and smartphones into 'second screen' controllers.

How To Enable Haptic Feedback On iPhone Keyboard

Goncalo Ribeiro·February 21, 2013
If you have used certain Android devices in the past, you are probably aware of how they slightly vibrate whenever a key on their virtual keyboard is pressed. While some users are not quite fans of this feature, it surely provides some tactile feedback that many feel is missing with iOS. Luckily, Haptic Keyboard is a new jailbreak tweak for iOS that makes it a breeze to make your device vibrate slightly whenever a key on the virtual keyboard is pressed.

How To Save Instagram Photos On iPhone From Your News Feed

Ben Reid·February 21, 2013
Instagram has been nothing short of a revelation in its short lifespan. What started out as an app for iPhone now spans multiple devices and platforms, and having been purchased by Facebook last year for an eye-watering one billion dollars, its rise is quite rightly seen as landmark achievement. The app itself however, which allows users to take, edit, share and comment on photos, is certainly not as feature-rich as some would like, and the lack of ability to save photos - as one can on the Web - is certainly a limitation. It's not the be-all, end-all of the Instagram experience, yet is still kind of annoying, but much like the new-found ability to copy text from the Facebook News Feed, a tweak for jailbroken iPhones has been developed to facilitate the saving of Instagram photos from your News Feed directly to the device's camera roll.

iPhone 5 Was The Top Selling Smartphone In The World In Q4 2012 [Report]

Ben Reid·February 20, 2013
According to research collated by numbers firm Strategy Analytics, Apple's iPhone 5 was the smartphone boasting the highest number of sales in the final quarter of 2012. The device, which launched in September alongside iOS 6, was the biggest-selling by some margin, while its predecessor - the iPhone 4S - took second spot.

Evasi0n Can Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2

Ben Reid·February 20, 2013
The release of iOS 6.1.2 may have fixed the Exchange calendar bug that was eating batteries like tapeworm, but it looks as though it still hasn't prevented the Evasi0n tool from offering an untethered jailbreak. Seasoned jailbreak guru and Evad3rs member Planetbeing has tweeted the good news that his iPhone 5 is jailbreakable on iOS 6.1.2, and although he has yet to test other devices, it's unlikely they'll throw up any nasty surprises. This means that, pending a little more investigation of course, you can update to iOS 6.1.2 and re-jailbreak to enjoy the perks of an untethered jailbreak on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Download iOS 6.1.2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [Direct Links]

Goncalo Ribeiro·February 20, 2013
Not too long ago, Apple released iOS 6.1 to the public, yet this one was plagued with issues ranging from a lock screen exploit to numerous connectivity problems affecting Microsoft Exchange users. While the recently released iOS 6.1.1 update for the iPhone 4S, which Apple rushed quickly, addressed the critical connectivity issue which stopped many business users from upgrading, this new 6.1.2 release fixes many other small problems that were still left.
