If you happen to be the proud owner of one of Apple's modern devices, namely an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or an Apple Watch, there now exists the ability to pay for goods and services in specific places without the need to whip out a debit or credit card or cold hard cash. After waiting patiently for nine months for it to actually enter the UK market, consumers will be able to use Apple Pay in more than 250,000 stores, including supermarkets Waitrose and Lidl, as well as popular food establishments Nando's and Wagamama.

The smartphone market is a vastly competitive place to do business, and while Android may be reigning victorious when it comes to market share, that doesn't necessarily equate to profit for device manufacturers. A new report, which has emerged over the weekend by Canaccord Genuity, approximates that while Apple may only hold 20% of the total market share, it was actually responsible for banking 92% of the entire smartphone market's profits during the first quarter of 2015.

The 'Battle of the Sixes' report has been published by and it makes for some interesting reading. GameBench created the report as an opportunity to create the "first objective comparison of the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 on the basis of real-world gaming performance." Put simply, if you're heavily into high-end mobile gaming on your smartphone, are you better off investing in Apple's iPhone 6 or Samsung's Galaxy S6? It seems that last year's iPhone 6 is still capable of edging out this year's competition by a good 10% "average lead."
