“iPA God” is a new application which can be used to download paid apps from the App Store for free, directly onto your iOS device! According to the developer, you won’t have to jailbreak your iOS device to use iPA God. It works on an exploit found in iOS 4.1 / iOS 4.2 which allows you to create particular files on the filesystem. The developer took the opportunity and made an application out of it to make the entire process easier.
iOS 4.2 was released earlier today. Just like iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.0.2, the new iOS 4.2 at the moment is not jailbreakable. It also contains new baseband for all iOS devices which currently makes it impossible to unlock using existing version of Ultrasn0w. So if you rely on a jailbreak and unlock, stay away from this new firmware until new jailbreak and unlock tools are available for download.
Apple has just seeded the first Beta of iOS 4.2 for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. This beta build, like any other iOS beta is meant for developers only. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of by signing into Apple Developer Connection.
Catchy headline, no?
While you won’t be ever able to run a full-blown modern desktop OS like Windows or Linux on your iOS gadget anytime soon, but with virtual-machining software Parallels Desktop for Mac, you can now access your Windows 7 or Linux-based virtual machines from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad!
Apple Insider has received information from a “person with proven knowledge of Apple’s future product plans” that Apple will soon be introducing FaceTime/video-chat capable iPads.
We previously broke the news to our respected readers of a low-level bootrom exploit which would enable jailbreaking on iOS 4.1 and beyond with all versions of the iPod touch, iPhone and of course, iPad! This exploit was special in a way because Apple will not be able to patch the exploit with a software update, instead it will require Apple to release entirely revised hardware for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and we all know that we are at least 6 months away from any hardware revisions.
Announced just today, and picked up first by Gizmodo, Apple will be relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps. Also in a very surprising move, the company at One Infinite Loop, CA has also published App Store Review Guidelines for developers.
Confirmed ! iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Using Bootrom Exploit works on iPod touch 4G, iPhone 4 and Even iPad !
Just a quick little heads-up, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev-Team has confirmed that iOS 4.1 Bootrom exploit which was found by another iPhone hacker named pod2g works on the newly released 4th-gen iPod touch 4G, iPhone 4 and even iPad !
The iPhone hacker (pod2g of Chronic Dev Team) who previously found the 24kpwn exploit has successfully managed to find another bootrom based exploit which can jailbreak all iOS based devices on the latest iOS 4.1 firmware. What this means is that the next jailbreak most probably is going to be based on bootrom exploit which unlike JailbreakMe will enable users to change boot and recovery mode logos among many other things.
Next week, Apple will roll-out the new iOS 4.1 firmware for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPad and iPod touch. This new firmware like iOS 4.0.2 will require another exploit for jailbreak as the loophole which was found in iOS 4.0.1 was quickly fixed by Apple in iOS 4.0.2. Comex will be on it once Apple releases the firmware to public early next week.
