Apple today has confirmed to CNET that they have investigated the exploit used by JailbreakMe 2.0 and that they have already developed a fix for it which will be released in a form of new firmware update soon. The spokeswomen of Apple though didn’t give any specific release date as to when will it be pushed, but knowing Apple, it wouldn’t be too long before it is released for all iOS devices.

To fix the issue, simply start Cydia and and apply all the updates, including that of MobileSubstrate version 0.9.3226-1 to run Skype with full multitasking support in iOS 4.
The newly released jailbreak tool named JailbreakMe 2.0 Star makes use of a PDF vulnerability which is present in iOS’ Mobile Safari browser. Now that JailbreakMe has been released, and that the exploit is public, hackers can make use of this exploit by making you download a PDF file in Safari, in the process installing some malicious code to ultimately take control of your iOS device.
Apple has just pushed iOS 4.1 Beta 3 to the developers for all iPhones and iPod touches. This beta build, like all the previous betas is meant for developers only. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of by signing into Apple Developer Connection.

The iPhone Dev-Team Members MuscleNerd and Planetbeing has confirmed that even though the unlock for iPhone 4 with ultrasn0w is ready and all, they will still do thorough testing in the next 48 hours to make sure everything is working before it is released to public. The iPhone Dev-Team (Comex) has released JailbreakMe 2.0 (aka Star) which can jailbreak all iOS devices on their latest respective firmware like iOS 4.0 / 4.0.1. This does not work with iOS 4.1 Beta release. Since JailbreakMe 2.0 is a userland jailbreak, what this means is that you run it right in your iOS Safari browser to jailbreak the device. It cant get simpler than that !
