SiriProxy continues to amaze me. It started with Siri controlling the thermostat then moving to channel surfing on your TV. Now, a new project uses the tool with a home automation system activated by voice.
Jailbreaking your iPhone isn’t illegal, but it doesn’t mean Apple has to like it. In fact, they outright hate it. With each update, they make it more and more difficult for the talented community to release a successful jailbreaking tool. I’m sure I’m not the only one patiently awaiting the next untethered version.
Apple has come a long way from its humble beginnings. When the company introduced their Apple I and Apple II platforms in the late seventies, it paved way for the iPads, and MacBooks of today. Social networks such as Facebook and Google+ (well, mostly Facebook) have become increasingly popular over the years. Benefits include being able to stay in touch and interacting with more people at the same time and making new friends along the way. They also help remind you of important events, birthdays and anniversaries that you otherwise may miss or forget. They do have their downsides too.
It’s been quite a steady year for mobile OS usage this year. Worldwide, the top eight mobile OS platforms have relatively stayed in their same positions, in terms of usage, for most of the year. While Symbian OS has kept its throne successfully, the real action is between iOS and Android.
Looks like we can add Robin Williams to the list of people who are in love with Siri. Apple has included the assistant in every iPhone 4S. With reports of Siri being somewhat cruel (just kidding) to some, it’s nice to see the application in a lighthearted way.
Call Of Duty, although the world's most popular game on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, hasn't made the same amount of noise on mobile devices. Well, at least not yet.
