While we might have been entirely engrossed in the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c launch, and while the keynote yesterday would’ve made it sound like these are the only two Apple devices in existence that are worth any mention, that doesn’t mean that the company itself has forgotten its other lineups altogether. Earlier, we reported that new Apple TV iOS 7 update will be available Sept. 18, just alongside iOS 7, and now, thanks to a tweet from MG Siegler, it appears that the set top box itself will be seeing a new iteration next month.
iPhone 5s has been announced, and while the keynote confirmed a lot of the rumors and leaks that had been circling the blogosphere for weeks now, it’s time to move on to the real world experience of the shiny new hardware (in a multitude of colors other than the traditional black and white) from the fruit company. Although it will take some time for extensive user experience feedback to develop (not really until the device actually starts shipping), initial benchmarks show that the graphic processing is actually blazing fast, blowing away the iPhone 5 by almost double the margin. Go figure!
So, the iPhone 5s and 5c have finally been revealed after months of speculation, and with the latter available to pre-order in just a couple of days, Apple fans have a bit of a decision to make. The iPhone 5s has certainly pushed the boundaries with a plethora of new features, but while the iPhone 5c may be distinctly similar in terms of hardware to the iPhone 5, its funky design and range of color options will surely render it a hit among consumers. But which will you choose?
Google's Project Glass has caused quite a bit of a stir since it's announcement last year, and with plenty of developers having sampled the technology and demonstrated what it's capable of via Google Glass Explorer Edition, we're excited for its eventual release early next year. But while Google appears unchallenged by its biggest rivals when it comes to this new technology, it has been revealed that Apple considered such device, and although it reached prototype stage, the Cupertino company simply could not find the time to take things any further.
Well that didn't take long. Just hours after Apple announced the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, some of its competition is already beginning to launch the first attacks aimed to poke fun at the devices.
There's nothing worse than having your expensive iPhone or iPad break except possibly having it break because you've done something to it. Whether you've dropped your iPad and broken the screen or managed to take your iPhone for a swim, accidental damage is often something that follows people around, and can prove to be an expensive mistake.
With iOS 7 out now, attention has turned to when, and if, a iOS 7 jailbreak may be possible. Here, we'll look at the possible leads we have so far, as well as running through the tail-end of the iOS 6.1.x jailbreak situation.
With the announcement and appending release of the new iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s occurring today at Apple's event, iOS 7 took the main stage just as much as some of the new hardware. The iPhone 5c seems to be a device that has been somewhat built around the software that it is going to be running. iOS 7 is an up to date, fresh and modern take on the skeuomorphic operating system we had all grown to know and love. With that being said, iOS 7 comes packed with a tirade of new, and incredibly useful features that are making the new upgrade a whole lot more tasty.
When cameras first hit mobile phones, it was seen as a luxury, but in the smartphone-besieged Digital Age, the snapper is one of the most talked-about features of any new device. The iPhone 5s, in case you missed it, has just been announced by Apple, and as you would expect, the company spent a great deal of time talking about how much better its camera is than any other iPhone. But hey, specs aside, the only real way to gauge a camera's worth is to take photos with it and decide from there, right? Handily, some such images have been shared by Apple, so if you wish to see whether the iPhone 5s's camera really does hold its own, check out the shots after the break.
So, as predicted, the iPhone 5 is no more, and the iPhone 4s remains in the roster among the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. To help prospective shoppers out, Apple has thrown up a comparison chart of the three models, and since we're scarcely acquainted with the iPhone 5s or 5c ourselves, we'll gather a better view on how they stand up against each other.
