iPhone 6 / 6 Plus To Outsell Galaxy Note 4 10-to-1, According To Analyst

Ben Reid·October 30, 2014
The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus haven’t just been popular smartphones among critics and consumers, but in terms of sales, they’ve already broken all kinds of records. Rivaling vendors in the mobile industry have sought to counter, with Google having recently taken the wraps off the Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone, but the rampant success of the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus won't have stung any competitor quite as severely as Samsung. The Korean outfit's Note series, considered flagship alongside the Galaxy S line-up, has been a saving grace for fans of handsets with large displays, but even with the Galaxy Note 4 announcement being bolstered by the intriguing Galaxy Note Edge, there's seemingly little that the Tizen maker can do to halt the dominance of its bitter rival.

How To See List Of Songs You’ve Had Asked Siri To Identify On iOS 8 / 8.1

Ben Reid·October 30, 2014
Shazam has essentially eliminated that ever-so-annoying "what song is this, again?" conversation that we used to have amongst ourselves whenever we heard a song we liked on the radio. As a third-party app / service, it's been running for years now, but with iOS 8, Apple took the favorable step of baking it into Siri. So instead of using the app - which becomes typically hard to find when you know a song is about to end - one can simply ask for title, artist and album through the digital slave that is Siri. Yes, this is even more convenient than Shazam as we already knew it pre-iOS 8, but then again, at least Shazam keeps a neat list that we can always refer to. iOS 8 does too, although it's a little trickier to find, and so, we've compiled a very little guide to help you find a list of the songs that you've asked Siri to tag.

This Could Be The Reason Why Apple Didn’t Name Its Smartwatch The ‘iWatch’

Ben Reid·October 29, 2014
In the run-up to the launch of the Apple Watch, many expected the wearable to be treated to the "iWatch" moniker, but while we now know this will not be the case, the owner of the iWatch trademark in Europe is looking to diversify its business to include - yep - smartwatches. Probendi, a company based in Ireland, trademarked the name some time ago, and while the software outfit has very little experience in terms of hardware, is planning on coming through with its very own smartwatch anyway.

Concept Shows Google Glass Reimagined As An Apple Product [Images]

Ben Reid·October 29, 2014
One ambitious concept maker has crafted an interesting render of what a Google Glass-esque product might look like if Apple's design team was at the helm. It features, among other perks, a micro projector that beams content directly onto the lens, and while it seems far-fetched that such a slimline, stylish look could be achievable at this point in time, the designer suggests that Apple's own face computer could be something to consider in years to come.

Wells Fargo Will Give You $20 Worth Of Credit On Your First Apple Pay Transaction

Oliver Haslam·October 28, 2014
Apple is currently locked in a silent war with some retailers after the decided to not just ignore Apple's advances to bring Apple Pay to their customers but also actively made it impossible to use the service even after it was found to work in an unsupported capacity. In a world where you would expect all retailers to want to take money from potential customers, that just seems weird.

Apple’s iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus Is Squashing The Galaxy Note 4 In Samsung’s Home Ground

Zayed Rehman·October 27, 2014
Carriers in South Korea have put Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-order estimates at 100,000 and above, which is almost three times more than the pre-orders collected for Samsung's Galaxy Note 4. With this happening on Samsung's own turf, is Apple all set to increase its smartphone market share?
