The Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 7.1 / 7.1.1 has meant that every single version of Apple's latest firmware is jailbreakable using one method or another, and although the impromptu nature of this release - coupled with one or to controversies - has put some folks off, it actually makes sense to now update to iOS 7.1.1 and re-jailbreak using Pangu.

Apple's WWDC keynote a couple of weeks back introduced a number of new and exciting features to the melting pot, and although nothing was explicitly mentioned about the new Flyover City Tours feature headed to the Maps app, the company did mention that its in-house mapping solution would be subject to some significant improvements across the board. One eagle-eyed developer spotted the feature hidden inside iOS 8 beta 2, which was rolled out back last week, and now, any beta user can enjoy limited access to the feature.
Finding useful, functional apps is a pretty arduous task at the best of times, and while iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users are spoilt for choice given the many hundreds of thousands of great apps gracing the iTunes Store, searching for an app for every occasion can be both enjoyable and tedious in equal measure. Amazon has updated its Instant Video app for iOS users, and hopes to reel viewers in with a feature allowing the first episode of a TV show to be watched for free. The episode will be ad-supported, and at this time subsequent episodes will not be, but it does perhaps foresight a business model that Amazon may seek to explore in the future.
Microsoft's OneDrive, formerly SkyDrive, is one of a large number of services vying for your attention in the battle of the cloud services, and in order entice customers into signing up, the software company has announced its intention to more than double the amount of storage space offered as standard. At the present moment, those signing up to a free OneDrive account can enjoy 7GB of cloud-based storage for photos, videos, documents and other such files, but soon, this will be bumped to 15GB of free storage.
The iPhone 6 is, according to reports, primed and ready to go into mass production from next month, with Foxconn once again having been tasked with assembling the vast majority of those initial units. Apple's iPhone 5s offered many new features and perks over the preceding iPhone 5, and the most obvious - aside from the gold color option - was the introduction of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Like many marquee features before it, Touch ID has been exclusive to the iPhone 5s for the duration of its tenure as Apple's flagship, but with the iPhone 6 now looming, it seems almost certain that the fingerprint sensor will also be added to the Cupertino's iPad roster. As well as bringing Touch ID to the iPad Air 2 and Retina iPad mini 3 later this year, it is also being reported that Apple is making some design changes for a more durable, reliable experience moving forward.
