New iPhones Likely To Be Called iPhone 6 For 4.7-inch Model, iPhone 6 Plus For 5.5-inch

Ben Reid·September 9, 2014
Since it emerged that there'd be two configurations of the iPhone 6 - a 4.7-inch model and a larger, 5.5-inch variant - fans and commentators have offered numerous suggestions as to how Apple plans to differentiate between them through naming. There's been a lingering suspicion that the handset may follow the iPad's lead with 'iPhone Air', as well as the very plausible 'iPhone 6L', but according to information obtained by a fairly reliable source, it'll be called the 'iPhone 6 Plus'.

Apple Boosts iCloud Security By Sending Sign-In Email Notifications To Users

Ben Reid·September 9, 2014
Last week, numerous celebrities found themselves victims of a widespread hack, and although Apple stepped out with a statement to swiftly deny any wrongdoing, CEO Tim Cook did outline the company's intention to strengthen up security. As a number of users have already discovered, though, some of these improvements are already in place, with email notifications going out to users when a password change is or device restore is attempted, as well as when a login from a new device occurs.

Leaked Schematics Show Apple’s iWatch For The First Time [Images]

Ben Reid·September 8, 2014
Given that we're only expecting a preview of the iWatch rather than a full-on launch, it's been relatively easy for Apple to keep the wearable tucked away under its cuff. Not due to release until next year, it's unlikely to have gone into production, and as such, we've only tidbits of scattered, often conflicting information. However, a new leak today appears to offer a legitimate-looking glimpse of what's in store, and although it's hard to glean much from what are predominantly schematic drawings, they do give us a glimpse as to the gadget's form factor.

5.5-Inch iPhone 6 May Run Apps In iPad-like Landscape Mode [Screenshots]

Ben Reid·September 8, 2014
Apple's iPhone 6 event is now just one day away, and while we have a relatively good idea of what's in store, plenty of details still elude us. It has been mentioned on numerous occasions that there may be some considerable differences between the 5.5-inch model and the 4.7-inch variants of the forthcoming handset, and while many of these discrepancies are said to relate to the hardware, a new report indicates that the software experience may also differ dependent on which model you decide to pick up.

Logitech’s New Bluetooth Keyboard Can Dock Your Smartphone, Tablet At The Same Time

Ben Reid·September 7, 2014
Logitech is one of Apple's official accessory partners, and invests a great amount of its developmental man-power in creating some exciting new products. But aside from dreaming up some wondrous gadgets for devices bearing the Apple logo, it also caters to the wider market in general, allowing those on Android and Windows Phone to reap the benefits of its creations. In the latest, it has unleashed a quirky new keyboard capable of docking a smartphone and tablet at the same time, and with a very agreeable price tag to boot, it's the perfect all-in-one solution for traditional typists.

iPhone 6 Parts Can Be Bought Easily In China

Ben Reid·September 7, 2014
The iPhone 6 mightn't even be official yet, but already, its major components can be purchased in China. Given that Foxconn, Apple's main manufacturing partner, is based in mainland China, this isn't particularly surprising, and having already seen a leak of a working iPhone 6 earlier today, it's clear that the leakers have beaten Apple to the draw this time around.

Ben Reid·September 6, 2014
The iPhone 6 is just three days from its big announcement in Cupertino, and having gathered swathes of evidence from multiple sources over the past few months, we now finally have a glimpse at the finished article. You Can Now Buy Google Glass Directly From The Play Store

Ben Reid·September 6, 2014
Google's Project Glass has been in the works for years now, and since the initial dev roll-out back in 2013, generated quite a significant amount of interest in tech circles. First it was a closed beta available to selected creatives and developers, before eventually becoming an invitation-only enterprise. This year, the Explorer Edition relaxed the invitation system, making the gadget available in the UK and US to the masses, and now, finally, the head-mounted gadget is available at the Play Store with all of those lovely accessories to boot.

Windows 9 Confirmed To Have Notification Center, Here Are The Details

Ben Reid·September 6, 2014
The so-called 'Tech Preview' of Microsoft's Windows 9 has been tentatively slated for launch the end of this month, and although the software giant is not yet dead-set on a date, some details are beginning to emerge as to what said release might entail. Like Apple, Microsoft's mobile and desktop features are constantly crossing over, and having introduced a new Notification Center with Windows Phone 8.1, the forthcoming Windows 9 for desktop and tablet will likely enjoy a similar implementation. According to a new report, we could see the Notification Center of Windows 9 as part of the Tech Preview, something which we’ve heard about before, and while it won't be finished, it'll give us a flavor as to what's in store for the eventual Windows 9 launch.
