Ben Reid·March 14, 2014
You have to admire Samsung's continued and irrepressible efforts to push such a high volume of top-end devices out into the market as possible, and in doing so, appeal to as many different niches as it can. As was the case with the Galaxy S4, the just-announced Galaxy S5 will spawn a bunch of spin-off handsets, and following on from the camera-centric Galaxy S4 Zoom, we now how have what looks a fairly legit leak of the Galaxy S5 Zoom's tech specs via GFXBench.

More Key iOS 8 Details Emerge In New Report

Ben Reid·March 14, 2014
The release of iOS 7 was regarded as a defining moment in the timeline of Apple's mobile OS, but from what we've been hearing of its eventual successor, the Cupertino company could be planning some even more significant changes later on this year. Only yesterday, details emerged of a few new apps, including Healthbook, Tips, TextEdit and Preview, but even if we take into account the rumors of a standalone iTunes Radio app and some big enhancements to Maps, it looks like Apple has several other alterations on its 'to-implement' list for iOS 8.

Ben Reid·March 14, 2014
2014 is shaping up quite nicely as The Year of the Smartwatch, and with Samsung already having announced the Gear 2 and Gear Fit at last month's Mobile World Congress, we're expecting at least two of the mobile industry's other big names to follow suit in the coming months. As well as the Apple 'iWatch,' which has been referenced in numerous leaks and concepts running back a few years now, Google also rumored to be developing a smartwatch of its own. Today, for the first time, we've an insight into its purported specifications.

Family Guy Game For iOS And Android Shown Off In Teaser Screenshots

Ben Reid·March 14, 2014
Back in December, we got word that FOX would be teaming up with TinyCo to develop the very first official mobile game for the long-running series Family Guy. Having been on our screens for so many years, it would seem strange that an animation of Family Guy's stature hasn't been handed its very own title before now, but for fans of Seth MacFarlane's iconic comedy show, the teasing screen captures released on Thursday are sure to whet the appetite.

Pioneer’s Aftermarket CarPlay Hardware Will Bring iOS To Existing Cars [Report]

Ben Reid·March 14, 2014
CarPlay, a term Apple uses to describe its all-new, in-car operating system, was showcased heavily last week at the Geneva Motor Show by the likes of Volvo and Ferrari. Since then, we've seen the Cupertino company drop iOS 7.1, bringing official CarPlay support to the iPhone, and with most of the pieces now seemingly in place, we're just waiting on the manufacturers to come through with the release of compatible automobiles. But while it has seemed, hitherto, like users would probably have to buy a new car in order to take advantage of CarPlay, Pioneer may be poised to develop CarPlay integration for upcoming systems, as well as those already installed.

Ben Reid·March 13, 2014
Samsung's Galaxy S5, which was released at the tail-end of last month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, includes a bunch of new and exciting features both in terms of hardware and software. From the new gold color option and fingerprint scanner, to the 4K video capturing and advanced shot-taking experience offered by the 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, prospective Galaxy S5 owners have a fair amount to look forward to. Up until now, though, we've only seen little snippets of the eagerly-awaited device, but mobile industry insider Eldar Murtazin has just posted a series of hands-on clips totaling almost 50 minutes.

How To Get iOS 7.1 Calendar App On iOS 7.0.x

Ben Reid·March 13, 2014
One of the trade-offs of remaining on a pre-iOS 7.1 release, which many have done in order to preserve their jailbreak, is that, of course, you don't get to enjoy the various new features that Apple has thrown in with the update. However, seasoned developer Ryan Petrich has sought to offer jailbreak fiends a taster of what's new by releasing an iOS 7.1-ified calendar tweak by the name of Gregorian.

iOS 8 Will Reportedly Feature New iCloud Apps And Tools

Ben Reid·March 13, 2014
Apple is pushing closer to its aim of building of a unified, cloud-centric system that does away with the traditional OS X file system, according to sources of 9to5Mac. The fruit company's long-term goal with iCloud, which has become an integral part of its apps and services over the past few years, is to create a system whereby devices seamlessly integrate with one another, and with some new iCloud apps for iOS on the horizon, the iPhone maker is making good progress in its quest to achieve this.
