Apple Shows How Great iPhone 11 / Pro / Max Night Mode Can Be In New Video

Apple shared a new video highlighting how impressive its Night Mode feature can be. In the video, hosted over on its YouTube channel, Apple shows a number of photo comparisons with the feature turned on and turned off.

The whole video is backed by the song “We Only Come Out At Night” by the Smashing Pumpkins, which seems more than apt.

The tagline also says “Photos that come out at night,” as if Apple is trying to really beat you over the head with the fact that you can now take photos in the dark.

Night Mode is one of the standout features of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max and it allows users to capture images that wouldn’t normally be possible due to poor lighting conditions. It’s activated automatically when the iPhone deems it necessary, with no work required by the user.

Apple is understandably leaning heavily on the feature when trying to drive upgrades from older iPhones. It’s only possible on the latest round of iPhones – according to Apple – because of the fancy artificial intelligence software made possible by the super-powerful Apple A13 Bionic chip. We’d expect the feature to go from strength to strength when new, more powerful iPhones are released later this year, too.

It remains to be seen whether Night Mode will be available on the budget iPhone 9, if and when it is announced this year. The phone is expected to use an Apple A13 Bionic chip, just like the current crop of flagship handsets.
