Apple Is Giving Away A $2 Kids-Oriented iPhone And iPad App For Free

Another week has come to an end, which means we are ready to get our hands on yet another paid iOS app gone free for limited time. As part of Apple’s Free App of the Week promotion, this week’s app happens to be a game intended for children which usually retails for $1.99 on the App Store, but till next Thursday, it can be downloaded for free on iPhones and iPads. The app/game in question is named Dr. Panda’s Ice Cream Truck, and this is the first it has gone free.

So what is it all about? As a player, you will be given a task of serving ice cream to craving customers in an array of flavors that you are free to experiment with.

According to its App Store description: “Chocolate? Vanilla? Strawberry? All three!? You decide! In Dr. Panda’s Ice Cream Truck all the flavors you can mix up all sorts of different flavors with biscuits, chocolate, nuts and more to make the perfect ice cream—hundreds of combinations in all.”

We already told you about creating your own flavors, but what about those toppings to make that perfect sundae? As you would have guessed, there are literally an unlimited combinations to experiment with in the game. As the developer says, it’s a “toping galore!”

Use chocolate syrup, biscuits, sweets and decorations to make your ice cream as good to look at as it is to eat. The only limit is your own imagination! And don’t forget to let customers eat your creations once you’ve finished, they’ll let you know how delicious it was!

Being an app for kids, it’s good to see the developer leaving out any sort of in-app purchase(s), making the game completely free to play (for limited time) and enjoy on compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

You can download it for free right now from the App Store.
