Apple Could Announce Its iPhone 12 Event Date This Week

It’s that time of year where everyone is just waiting to hear when Apple will announce its 2020 iPhones and the one thing we know is that they won’t be available in September. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t be announced, and it looks like Apple will tell us all when that announcement will be at some point this week.

One of the pointers that this is the case comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who says that it’s possible Apple will announce a virtual event this week.

Apple normally sends its media event invitations out around two weeks before they take place, but things could be very different this year.

In previous years Apple has needed to give people time to arrange flights and hotels so they can attend an event. But in 2020, that won’t be the case. A virtual event could mean that the company doesn’t need to give everyone quite so much notice. Could that mean there will be an iPhone event next week?

It’s also worth noting that we’re expecting Apple Watch and iPad announcements as well, so there could be two different media events – although that’s less likely.

With four iPhones, potentially two Apple Watches, and at least one iPad said to be incoming this could be a big few weeks for Apple. We can’t wait for the announcements to get started!
