Apple Again Tops “World’s Most Admired Companies” List 17th Time In A Row

Apple has again found itself at the top of Fortune‘s list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” in a move that marks the 17th consecutive year. There are more than 300 companies on the list.

Apple took the top spot with Microsoft in second and Amazon in third.

These three companies have comprised the top three spots on the list for the last five years in a row, suggesting that they are unlikely to find themselves further down the pecking order any time soon.

The list was created after Korn Ferry asked almost 4,000 executives about the companies they admired the most.

To select our 50 All-Stars, Korn Ferry asked 3,720 executives, directors, and securities analysts who had responded to the industry surveys to select the 10 companies they admired most. They chose from a list made up of the companies that ranked in the top 25% in last year’s surveys, plus those that finished in the top 20% of their industry. Anyone could vote for any company in any industry.

MacRumors does note that Nvidia was one big winner however, taking its best-ever ranking of 10th spot on the back of strong GPU and AI server performance. The recent push into AI and generative AI has helped Nvidia build a business beyond its traditional GPU sales which will very likely stand it in good stead in the years to come.
