You can now download iOS 17.3 final IPSW links and OTA update and iPadOS 17.3 final version for your iPhone and iPad. Here are the details.

Apple’s iOS 17.3 update has now been released to the public after weeks of developer and public beta testing, and now you can download it on your own devices. Here are the details on the release for iPhone and iPad users.

Apple’s latest software update brings with it a couple of new features with one of them in particular proving to be an important security feature. That feature is called Stolen Device Protection and it’s designed to give people a new way to keep their data and Apple ID accounts safe and sound.

When enabled, even if someone has your iPhone and your passcode they will not be able to access specific parts of the device including disabling Lost Mode, accessing passwords in iCloud Keychain, and more. To access those features a Face ID or Touch ID authentication is required.

Other features require that an hour delay apply to changing the iPhone’s passcode, disabling Find My, and changing an Apple ID passcode to help prevent people from being locked out of their Apple ID accounts in the event of someone gaining access.

The iOS 17.3 update also brings with it support for collaborative Apple Music playlists, too.

To update to iOS 17.3 or iPadOS 17.3, head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of your device and grab the OTA update from there.
