Adobe Launches Photoshop For iPhone, Android App On the Way

Adobe has today announced the arrival of its first Photoshop app for the iPhone while the company also confirmed that it is working on an Android app that will launch at a later date.

The new app is free to download and will allow people to edit photos and graphics alongside Adobe Stock images on their iPhones.

The app supports many of the things that Photoshop users are already familiar with on other platforms including masking and layers, while users can also select areas for quick removal as well as recoloring and more.

As is to be expected, the app also supports the AI-powered Adobe Firefly offering which includes Generative Fill and Generative Expand. The features allow Photoshop to use generative AI technologies to edit images. Integration with other Adobe apps like Lightroom is also included.

While the Photoshop app is free to download it does require a subscription in order to use. The Photoshop Mobile and Web plan is the cheapest way to use the app and costs $7.99. That offers support for using Photoshop on the web as well as mobile devices like phones and tablets.

As for those who use Android phones, Adobe has said that it intends to bring the Photoshop app to that platform later this year without offering any specifics.
