A New AppleCare Memo Suggests Another Product Announcement Is Coming

Apple has already been pretty prolific in terms of product releases in recent weeks and months but that was thought to have come to an end – at least until after Christmas. Now that might not be the case after a new AppleCare memo told technicians to prepare for new SKUs next week.

An internal memo, seen by MacRumors, says that there will be new SKUs related to AppleCare as soon as next week.

In an internal memo this week, obtained by MacRumors from a reliable source, Apple informed service providers that it has AppleCare-related changes planned for Tuesday, December 8 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Specifically, Apple has advised technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and new/updated product pricing, according to the memo.

While that timing would be too early for an Apple event of any sort, it does match the times we’ve previously seen Apple announce products via press release.

There’s no indication in the memo as to what the SKUs will be, but we’ve previously heard rumors that suggest AirTags could be launched this year. The same goes for a new Apple TV and over-ear headphones in the shape of AirPods Studio, too.

We’ll now have to wait until the big day rolls around to see what Apple has up its sleeve.
