You can now download iOS 18.6 final IPSW links and OTA update for iPhone. Apple has also released iPadOS 18.6 final for iPad. Here are the details on these latest releases.
Apple has been running a beta program for the new iOS 18.6 update for a while now, and it all culminates in the release of the update to the public. It’s also expected to be one of the last new updates before Apple makes iOS 26 available in September.
Updating your iPhone or iPad using the OTA method couldn’t be easier. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update to download and install the new version. Don’t expect any big new features, though, because this update is all about bug fixes.
One of those fixes is all about dealing with a Photos app bug that prevented memories to be prevented from sharing.
“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, and fixes an issue in Photos that could prevent memory movies from being shared,” Apple’s release notes say.
