I doubt very much that GeoHot actually has any new jailbreak ideas or exploits. He pulled it off on previous os's and devices and he should be commended for such a great effort, but that doesn't make him some sort of super genius or ipgone hacker legend. As far as I'm concerned, comex seems to be the only one coming up with some truly brilliant bits of hacker code at the moment. I just feel the geohot sounds like a certainty Seinfeld episode when he says ” I choose not to run”.

this geohot is a really joke… I have jailbroken my iphone 3GS 3.1.3 5.12.1 by a store… and they are not pretending to be genius… they only did , and geohot did not ! and the store told me they did jealbreak kind of iphone since 4 weeks… so you can wait and wait after geohot. good luck !

Why announce it, if your not gonna release it? Do you know how many people you have kept waiting for? Everybody relied on you for their crap back than, you released the stuff. Than people would thank you, worship your work, and some would even donate you. Now, you just talk I did this, I can do this. You accomplished some great things, you basically single handedly started an 3rd party app store availability (by being the first to jailbreak the original iPhone), so Kudos to you. We, most normal everyday users would love to see you release your jailbreak for the iPhone 4 not because we like or hate you as a person, but because we love your work. I've never personally used any of Geohotz Jailbreaks, I've heard a lot about him and i commend him for being so productive in the jail breaking community. I would have no problem with him leaving if he had not received donations. But honestly if your going to put yourself in that position and receive money from people, then you are working for them. I do not blame anyone who has supported him financial for being upset. Otherwise like i said I've never used his jailbreaks and haven't had to as of yet, so I'm sure someone else will do the job if he chooses not to. lol i thank god I'm not a blogger though, I've never been able to understand how you guys can sit her for hours arguing about this stuff.

sorry if i sound daft cuase all this is new to me but correct me if im wrong geohot is the one with the jailbreak ,and the only way we can unlock the iphone 4 or the iphone 3gs is by first jailbreaking it and then unlocking it .and that will only happen if apple releases the new update 4.1 or 4.01 i don't know. and only then will geohot release his jailbreaking tool to the public which in turn will allow us to jailbreak or iphone 4/3gs which in turn will allow us to unlock them… the big question is when ?
