Watch Windows 7 Launch Event Live Stream from New York

The wait is over! Windows 7 will be officially unveiled in a few hours from now on Thursday, 22nd October 2009 at 8 AM PDT (click here to see what time is it in your region) in the heart of New York City. This consumer launch event will be hosted by Steve Ballmer, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Corporation and he will be accompanied by the man behind Windows 7, Steven Sinofsky – President of Windows Division along with usual hardware partners and Microsoft employees.

Windows 7 is the latest client version of Microsoft Windows for PCs and is the successor to Windows Vista. Windows 7 RTM was announced earlier in July of this year. Check out our Windows 7 Center for the complete coverage on the latest client version of Windows.

Microsoft celebrates the general availability of Windows 7 with a series of launch events around the globe. A wave of new PC models designed around the new operating system will be unveiled, along with the latest information on how to get Windows 7. PressPass will have complete coverage of the launch events, including live streaming video, event photos, video highlights and more.
