Video Shows Apple Park’s Massive Lunch Room Doors Opening Up

It’s not very often that we take an interest in the lunchroom at one of Silicon Valley’s big technology companies, but then again not many of them have a lunchroom like Apple’s.

In fact, none of them do so when CEO Tim Cook took to Twitter to share a GIF about the company’s eatery, everyone took notice.

No, the steak melt wasn’t on offer nor was there a particularly strange sandwich combination to enjoy but instead this was a GIF showing the huge glass doors to the lunchroom being opened and, we have to say, it’s pretty amazing to see in motion.

For those who don’t remember, Apple Park is Apple’s new campus, allowing the company to move out of its Infinite Loop hope and into something much, much larger. That also allowed Apple and design chief Jony Ive to come up with some impressive features for the new building, one of which is a three story high set of glass doors that open up to give lunchroom patrons access to the garden outside. Oh and did we mention the whole thing is curved?

All that sounds pretty amazing in text but watching the GIF is the only way to see this particular brand of majesty in motion. In fact, all this really does is make us want, and need a video of this in glorious 4K video. Probably with some stirring music to go along with it.

Of course, Apple Park isn’t without its faults. There have been plenty of reports where people have walked into clear glass doors, often injuring themselves, all thanks to the design.
