Updated Apple Watch Ultra Tipped For 2023 Launch With 30-Inch iMac In The Works

Apple’s 2023 has already been a busy one thanks to the launch of the Vision Pro headset, but there are still plenty of things to come later this year — and that’s ignoring the iPhone 15 lineup.

Now, we’re told that there is indeed a new Apple Watch Ultra in the works for a fall launch.

According to a report by Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Apple is already hard at work on an updated version of the Apple Watch Ultra although he didn’t go into details about what that would actually have to offer, or what it will look like. It seems unlikely that this second-generation product would bring with it huge external changes, however.

Perhaps the most interesting tidbit to come out of Gurman’s report, via this week’s Power On newsletter, is that Apple is working on another Mac.

But this one will be much bigger than the 24-inch model that’s on sale today. “The company is also conducting early work on an iMac with a screen over 30 inches,” Gurman said.

We don’t yet know whether that will look like the current 24-inch model bug bigger, or if a new design is in the works. Nor do we know what kinds of chips the machine will use, with Apple already thought to have an M3 24-inch iMac on the way. However, we can surely expect to learn more in the coming weeks and months as more information starts to leak.
