Tesla’s 2025 Spring Update Brings B-Pillar Recording, Dashcam Upgrades, and More

Tesla has announced that it will soon begin rolling out its spring software update, highlighting a number of changes and new features that will be added when it is remotely installed on vehicles.

In a post on the X social network, Tesla confirmed that it is adding the option to enable adaptive headlights in the United States and Canada, assuming that your vehicle has the required hardware already installed.

The feature will see high beams automatically adapt to avoid blinding oncoming drivers.

Another addition is support for the recording of footage captured by the vehicle’s B-pillar. The upgrade will be available on newer models of the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, Tesla confirmed.

The Dashcam Viewer app has also now been redesigned with a grid view and quicker access to the next video.

Other upgrades include the ability for the Cybertruck to automatically transition to Comfort Drive Mode when Autopilot is engaged, while the pickup will also now warn drivers if the vehicle drifts towards the edge of a lane.

There are other additions, including the option to keep the vehicle’s USB ports running even when the vehicle is off, while smaller updates include shuffle support for the entire Apple Music playlist and a new filter that will show media search results by source for the first time.
