The final version 1.0 of FaceTime for Mac is now available on the Mac App Store. It also supports HD video calls on the new supported Intel Macs.
Apple has finally unveiled the new MacBook Pro family which is powered by Intel Core i5, Core i7 and even Quad Core processors. Powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processors, the Quad Core option is only available for 15 and 17-inch models. Core i5 and Core i7 option though is available on all three models, that is, 13, 15 and 17-inches.

Specs sheet and photos of soon-to-be-released Intel Sandy Bridge powered MacBook Pro line has leaked into the wild. The new MacBook Pro will sport Light Peak technology, which Apple is said to be calling as Thunderbolt, an HD video camera for FaceTime-HD calls, and more.
According to MacRumors, Apple is all set to launch MacBook Pro refresh on Thursday, February 24th. Apple’s MacBook Pro line is due for an upgrade this year and it would only be wise for Apple to ship these with Intel Sandy Bridge processors as they are now the flagship chipsets of Intel.
Apple has just posted record earnings for Q1 2011. They have managed to sold 16.24 million iPhones, 7.33 million iPads, 19.45 million iPods, 4.13 million Macs, and made around $26.74 billion in revenue. With these statistics, the Cupertino-based company once again has broken its own previous records.
Apple today has opened the Mac App Store for business, with over a thousand apps for launch. Mac App Store requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 software update for Snow Leopard which can be downloaded from here.
Apple has just released the final version of Mac OS X 10.6.6 Snow Leopard. It is a recommended update and it implements hundreds of fixes since the last few updates, 10.6.5 (November 2010), 10.6.4 (June 2010), 10.6.3 (March 2010) and 10.6.2 (November 2009). The developers behind the popular Air Hockey for iPhone game are working to bring the same title and experience to Mac OS X. Air Hockey on the Mac will be available on the Mac App Store at launch and is almost identical to the iOS version.
Raskin Software today has announced an update to its zoom-able Finder alternative for the Mac OS X. Raskin for Mac OS X utilizes an iOS-style visual interface to represent all your files and images on a single page without the need to open the native Finder on the machine. This saves a considerable amount of time and more importantly can be more than handy for non-Mac users or those who have just migrated to OS X.
