There are few computers in this world that are more expensive than a Mac Pro. Well, home computers at least. So it's fairly safe to say that they are a high value target for thieves, which is why you'll want to make sure that every precaution is taken so that the risk of your pride and joy being lifted by some light-fingered trickster. Until now, doing just that has been a case of fashioning your own security lock, or opting to go for one of the expensive third-party solutions that just don't quite cut the mustard for whatever reason. Now though, Apple's got your back.

For the lucky few who managed to get a hold of the Mac Pro before the shipping was pushed back to February, the wait is finally over, and no new product launch would be complete without a spate of unboxings. As with every new product launch from Apple, there is a brief period of downtime on the company's official site as the purchase process is streamlined for the inevitable rush of eager shoppers. If you are particularly keen on the Mac Pro, which was the reason that the official Apple site was briefly pulled offline just a short while ago, I'm afraid you're going to be waiting quite a while, with shipping times having already been pushed back to February.

The stunning new Mac Pro is set for a December 16th launch according to Germany based Conrad Electronics. The extremely powerful and redesigned Pro has caused something of a stir after it was initially teased during this year's Worldwide Developer Conference. Apple provided us with more intricate details of the machine during a recent media event that also welcomed the official release of OS X Mavericks, but stopped short of actually providing power-hungry technology aficionados with an official release date for the professional desktop computer.
