The iPhone is known to be found in odd places, doing a bunch of weird and rather cool things. For its latest feat, Apple's prised handset has found itself a new job, and it involves sorting out M&Ms by color. More details and how the contraption works can be found after the break.
When Touch ID, Apple's fingerprint sensor, first emerged on the scene with last year's launch of the iPhone 5s, it was dispelled by many as a gimmick. It quickly emerged that it was anything but - rather a very refined measure that enhanced security and promoted seamlessness. With iOS 8, Apple has further expanded Touch ID's reach, adding third-party support allowing banking, password management and other such apps to reap the fruits of the implementation. It's still not without its fair share of limitations, though, and among them, the fact that it doesn't immediately allow a user to log in right after a reboot. It has now emerged that this isn't an arbitrary decision imparted by Apple, but actually, is due to the secure infrastructure upon which Touch ID is based.
On its website, Apple waxes poetic about the improvements in LTE speed offered by the iPhone 6. The fact that it, as Apple states, "has more LTE bands than any other smartphone" and "supports more advanced wireless technologies to boost performance" should, in theory, mean that it's considerably quicker in terms of speed than the preceding iPhone 5s. Taglines and promises are one thing, and as we've learned only too many times, real-world performance can often be another, and so to dispel any lingering notion of doubt, you can see the iPhone 6 in a side-by-side speed test with last year's flagship iPhone 5s below.
The list of advertised features should be more than enough to convince even the most reluctant user that Apple's new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones are a worthy competitor to any device on the market. With that said, if you're one of the few still sitting on the fence, unable to make your mind up about the jumbo-sized iPhone 6 Plus, then maybe this little video will push you over the edge.
