Apple's much rumored and highly anticipated iPad Air Plus may have had its release pushed back for a second time, according to a new report.
For just a short moment it seemed that the iPad Air Plus rumors were going to take a back seat while the Apple iCar took center stage, but here we are once again with a new leak that purports to show an iPad Air Plus case.
The so-called "iPad Air Plus," a bit like the supposedly impending Retina MacBook Air, has been rumored ad nauseam over the past year or two, and despite the Cupertino company's preoccupation with several other products including Apple Watch, reports still indicate that a larger tablet will be hitting the scene in the very near future. To keep the pool of ideas well stocked, one of our favorite designers has come through with some new renders of the elusive slate, which, notably, includes a stylus.
Looking forward to Apple revealing its 12-inch must-haves this year? These iPad Air Plus and 12-inch MacBook Air concept renderings will help compare the two devices side by side, especially the size. Head on after the jump for further details.
A new photograph has appeared online that claims to show a manufacturing mold for the potentially upcoming iPad Air Plus. The image, which is suitably grainy, shows what appears to be a mold with a faint Apple logo in the middle.
Leakers gonna leak, so it never comes as any surprise to us when we see unreleased hardware crop up online. And this time it’s the iPad Pro - also known as the iPad Air Plus - once more. More details can be found right after the break.
Some rumors just won't die, and as the old adage suggests that there's no smoke without fire, we're starting to think that there just might be something to all these iPad Pro rumors. The latest bout of scuttlebutt has the larger, more well-endowed iPad due to arrive in stores between April and June of 2015, which the last time we checked a calendar was May.
The Apple rumor mill is churning again, and this time it's the iPad mini which finds itself caught in the controversy. Reports are coming in that Apple may be looking to ditch the iPad mini lineup of devices in favor of the upcoming larger-screened iPad Pro.
Talk of an enlarged, so-called "iPad Pro" has been rife for about a year now, but with the likes of the Microsoft Surface Pro and Samsung's Galaxy TabPro having rolled out in that time, there's a genuine feeling that Apple is finally poised to counter with a similar effort of its own. The slate, which will apparently include a 12.9-inch display, remains something of an enigma, but a new report cites the usual sources familiar by claiming that it will run a hybrid operating system combining bits of iOS and OS X into one.
For a good year or so now, it has been suggested that Apple would be coming through with a tablet larger and more powerful than the current flagship 9.7-inch model, and given the introduction of would-be rival products like the Microsoft Surface and Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro line, the idea of a 12.9-inch iPad Pro seems even more plausible. Today, new information has emerged about the slate, with a report suggesting that the SoC powering the top-end slab will be a more robust, A8X chip.
