Modding the iPhone and iPad is part of the charm of jailbreaking. In fact, it's arguably the biggest reason that people take to jailbreaking their iOS devices, and with people apparently desperate to stamp their individuality on their personal technology, Apple's devices seem to attract some of the most creative people around.
One of our favorite - and expensive - apps for iOS has gone free for a limited time (a $7 value). We’ve got all the details and download link right after the break!
Now that the Evasi0n7 jailbreak is starting to mature and Saurik's Cydia Substrate (formally known as MobileSubstrate) has been updated to support the latest version of iOS, we're starting to see everyone's favorite tweaks and apps get updates that make them compatible with everything that has gone on over the last week or two. Some we've been waiting for more than others, and now three of the most requested updates have arrived.
The holiday season is almost through, and this year, the jailbreak community has been treated to the best gift imaginable by way of untethered jailbreaks for both iOS 7 and the latter versions of iOS 6.1.x. The good news is that the wait is finally over. The bad news is that early discussions and word from Cydia creator Jay Freeman seem to suggest that the latest Evasi0n7 release might have been rushed out before the right people could get the necessary components in place to support users.

It has shown no sign of slowing its progress since that acquisition either, even launching an Instagram for Windows Phone app for those that have been waiting impatiently for such a thing to be released.
Electronic Arts has always been one for getting into the Christmas spirit by offering some pretty impressive discounts on its iOS games, and this year is no different. Perhaps it could be said that this year's sale isn't quite as special as it has been in the past, but the list of games that have been brought down to just $0.99 is still one that will have you reaching for your iPhone or iPad.
