For example, the MacBook Pro with Retina display costs $2,799.00 over at Apple's online store, but if one wishes to bump up the storage space, processor speed or RAM, for example, this can be arranged at additional cost.

According to a report over at the hit-and-miss DigiTimes, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display - along with updated spec iMacs - are shipping to Apple's upstream supply chain. DigiTimes has, as is often the case, latched onto the story via sources from within said supply chain, and reports the 13.3" MacBook Pro with Retina display should be upon us within the next six weeks.

According to Fox, Apple is planning to release a refreshed batch of its iMac desktop computer in time for Christmas, and the news and entertainment giant's Clayton Morris reckons the new iMacs could launch as soon as next week. He also speculates Apple could instead drop the new iMacs range at next month's special event for the iPad Mini, but reckons they'll be available in time for the all-important holiday season.

A report surfacing from the famously hit-and-miss DigiTimes claims Apple is preparing to release a Retina-displaying iMac as early as October. Consumers were dazzled by the sharp display of the MacBook Pro with Retina display unveiled at WWDC this year, and although natural progression suggests the rest of the line-up will follow suit, most presumed we would be waiting until at least early next year.
