Deal: Get Samsung Galaxy S5 Unlocked For Just $159 [Today Only – UPDATED]

Paul Morris·April 15, 2016
If a new smartphone has been on your immediate wish list, but you really aren't a heavy enough user to warrant parting with upwards of $800 for a top-of-the-range modern option, then the time has potentially arrived to reach in and grab that credit card out. Samsung's Galaxy S range of Android-powered smartphones really don't need any introduction, and even though we're talking about the S5 version of the series rather than the latest S7, it's still worth $159.99 of anyone's money, if not as a primary phone, then certainly as a secondary phone.

Galaxy S5 Sales Fall 40% Short Of Expected Target, 25% Down On S4 Sales

Ben Reid·November 24, 2014
Flagship mobile products tend to outsell those preceding year-on-year, but in the case of Samsung's Galaxy S5, it's struggling to eclipse the achievements of the Galaxy S4. Having been launched at the Mobile World Congress back in February to a mixed reception, it enjoyed solid early sales numbers, but with Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus having proved a thorn in the side of the Galaxy Note 4, it appears that even the S5 has not managed to hit the heights.

Android L Update For Galaxy S5 Demoed In 8-Minute Video

Ben Reid·October 3, 2014
October will be a huge month for Android. As well as the introduction of Google's new Moto X-like Nexus smartphone, there's also the small matter of the rumored Android L release to contend with, and although the Nexus will surely be the first to ship with the Big G's new mobile OS out of the box, Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5 won't be too far behind. In spite of the fact that we don't know precisely when Android L will roll out, let alone when it will hit the S5, a video has already hit the Web showing the Korean company's prized asset running on the impending software.

iPhone 6 Vs Galaxy S5 Vs HTC One M8 – The Ultimate Flagship Speed Test [Video]

Ben Reid·October 3, 2014
Apple's iPhone 6 may have enjoyed a blistering start during its first few weeks on sale, but it still faces stiff competition from other high-end handsets available across the industry, and if you're still on the fence with regards to which device best suits you, then you've probably been reading a lot of specs sheets. But while a big, beefy processor should keep things running smoothly and with great fluidity, the real-world speed can only be determined by using a device to perform a multitude of day-to-day tasks, and in the most comprehensive speed comparison to date, we get to see how the iPhone 6 stands up against both the HTC One M8 and Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5.
