It’s always, without any exception, nice to get things for free, and even though App Store apps are widely considered cheap (except for when the developer decides to overkill the freemium model), those promotions dropping prices to little or nothing are always worth jumping on. Even if you can’t envisage yourself downloading a certain app that has gone free, there’s not much harm in downloading it and simply having it there on your account, and a new Sephora deal means you can obtain the likes of Day One, djay 2 and Silk from the App Store for free. It’s essentially a late holiday gift from Sephora, but despite its belated nature, it’s nonetheless welcome. You will have to go through Sephora’s system and obtain a promotional code before typing it in the ‘Redeem’ section of the App Store, but once you’ve done that, your chosen app(s) will be added to your iTunes account for use on all compatible devices.
As well as the apps, you can also stake your claim to a playlist of holiday songs through iTunes. Sure, you’re probably not going to be enjoying them until later on this year, but hey, don’t complain – it’s free!
Not only are the apps on offer tremendously popular, but most of them cost quite a fair few bucks. Day One, for example, helps you keep your very own digital journal, and has a regular price tag of $4.99. Same thing goes for the self-explanatory djay 2 app, and if you’re into your music, this is reason enough to pick it up while it doesn’t cost anything.
The holiday season may have already brought us an abundance of new apps at discounted rates – as well as the Evasi0n jailbreak – but even though we’ve been somewhat spoiled for things to do on our iOS devices, the Sephora promo will help add a few more welcome icons to the home screen.
