The newly released iPhone 3.2 SDK Beta 3 has revealed even more info on what is to come in the upcoming iPhone OS 3.2/4.0 for iPhone and iPad. In addition to supporting video conferencing through a front facing camera and external LED flash, the new firmware will also include built-in tools which will enable to do basic photo editing like crop and rotate directly on device without any third party app.

Apple has announced the availability of iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 3 for developers to make sure that their apps are ready for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch when the first batch of WiFi only models of iPad are released in the last week of March. iPhone 3.2 SDK Beta 3 brings lots of new API improvements and bug fixes. Members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access the development bits for iPhone OS 3.2 Beta 3 for iPad by signing into Apple Developer Connection.

Chinese Mastermind Behind Google Attacks Found, Government was Involved

It was December last year, Google human rights activists accounts in China were hacked by hackers who originated from mainland China. Few days later, Google-China debacle took a new turn when Google in a secret counter-offensive encounter managed to hack these Chinese hackers. It was successful in breaking into the source computer in Taiwan which was involved in these attacks. Google engineers also found out some evidence which indicated that the attacks were originally originated from mainland China and were possibly orchestrated by the Chinese government.

A group of hackers are claiming to have found an exploit which will jailbreak iPhone 3GS with new bootrom and it will be untethered. The exploit appears to work not only in iPhone 3GS models with new bootrom, but also in all iPhone and iPod touch models.

I have been extensively testing the new HTC Sense from HTC Desire ROM on Nexus One and so far has been very impressed with what HTC has to offer with this new version of Sense experience for Android phones. If you accidently updated to the stock iPhone OS 3.1.3 from iTunes and are locked out, you maybe in with a luck as an unlocking tool is said to be out soon. George Hotz has confirmed via his twitter account that he has a working exploit which can unlock the latest 05.12.01 baseband which Apple bundled when they released iPhone 3.1.3 for iPhone and iPod touch earlier this month. While no ETA was given, judging by his tweet, it may not be too long before we get the updated version of blacksn0w which can unlock 05.12.01 baseband on iPhone 3.1.3 firmware.

Paul at Modaco forums has finally released a very alpha version of the HTC Desire ROM with HTC Sense for Nexus One that we posted about a few days ago. The ROM also packs Flash 10.1 for Android along with lots of widgets for the HTC Sense experience. There are some bugs and glitches here and there but since its an alpha ROM, these can be expected. Here is how it looks like running on Nexus One.

Marketplace for Windows Phones Updated, Brings Apps from All Regions

Microsoft has finally updated the Windows Marketplace for Mobile to version 1.2.1417.0001 . This new version brings the much needed feature where users can now select on whether they want to install the downloaded apps to the onboard storage, or to the external storage card. Also added is the ability to choose any region/market from which you want to download and install apps. What this means is that even if you are living outside US, you can still access the US store and install the apps from there by simply changing your region to “United States”.
