We have already seen lots of evidence related to video calling/conferencing feature in both iPhone OS 4 betas and iPad OS 3.2. And now screenshots from a field test firmware on iPhone 4G / HD has surfaced which confirms this even more! According to the source, these were taken during video calling field test on the next iPhone.

If you are on a modded Nexus One, with either a root on the stock Android 2.1, or with the HTC Desire ROM and are too lazy to return to stock to receive the OTA update, this method is for you. As a pre-requisite, you will need to have an unlocked bootloader, and root access on your Nexus One. You will also need to have the patched recovery-RA-nexus-v1.5.3.img recovery on your N1.

Great news for Nexus One owners! It looks like Google has started rolling out Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) for their very own Google Phone, which is more widely known as the Nexus One. The update is available now via OTA (Over-the-Air) download and will take some time before the roll out completes. Keep checking the notification tray for a “System Alert” for Android 2.2 which could be here for you any minute.

The developer behind Greenpois0n, p0sixninja has managed to port “Spirit” jailbreak tool to Linux. Spirit is an all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch 2G/3G. It was released earlier this month for both Windows and Mac OS X.

You can do pretty much everything that you would expect a normal Android phone to do but it is still not recommended for day-to-day regular use. The power management functions of Android for iPhone 3G are yet to be implemented so your phone will only last for an hour or so of Android use before the battery runs out. Yes, it is good only for showing off to your friends that you have Android running on iPhone 3G.
