Apple today has released iOS 4.0.1 to fix the much talked about iPhone 4 reception issue which has been plaguing users since its launch last month. Apart from this fix, nothing much has been added and so if you are an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G user, and you rely on a jailbreak and unlock, it is better to avoid this upgrade until new jailbreak and unlock tools are available. Comex – the guy behind Spirit jailbreak tool for iPad and iPhone / iPod touch is expected to release an update to Spirit, which will jailbreak iOS based devices on the latest firmware.
Apple today has released iOS 3.2.1 for iPad to fix the WiFi issue which was reported back when iPad was launched. This minor firmware update has also patched the userland jailbreak exploit which was used by Spirit jailbreak tool. So if you love your jailbroken iPad, avoid updating to iOS 3.2.1 until new all iOS device jailbreak tool is available for download.

Those of you who currently rely on an unlock MUST STAY from iOS 4.1 until any further notice. Updating to iOS 4.1 might result in update of baseband, which will potentially lock your phone. Chinese are known for cloning popular western products. They have done this to almost all Apple products in the past like iPods, iPhones and iPads. According to Apple, the white iPhone 4 takes ‘a little more time to make’ and is hence not available yet for pre-orders. But now it looks like these Chinese are going to soon beat Apple to market by releasing a iPhone 4 knockoff in white dubbed as 'Ciphone 4'. I wonder if the addition of letter ‘C’ refers to the phone being from ‘China’, or a ‘Clone’ of iPhone 4?.
