Its finally here ! The newly released Skype 2.0 for iPhone enables the much awaited VoIP calls over 3G network. The official change log of Skype 2.0 is as follows.
There is a new modified version of PwnageTool floating around in the wild which promises to jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iPhone OS 4 Beta without upgrading the baseband. The creators of the original PwnageTool has confirmed that this version has been modified and redistributed without their permission, and most importantly, it doesn't patches some important files which are required for the ultrasn0w unlock to work properly.
According to the sources at TechCrunch, the next version of iPhone OS, which is set to release this June will have Bing as its default search engine in Mobile Safari. After teasing us with concept images and video of iWatch, Italian design house ADR Studio is now back with full retail packaging for their Apple-like wristwatch concept. If you thought the next platform wars between Microsoft (Windows Media Center), Google (Google TV) and Apple wont move to TV’s, you’ll be horribly wrong. According to the sources at Engadget, the next iteration of Apple TV will get a much needed complete revamp. It will be a small device (like iPhone), will be powered by a variant of iPhone OS, and best of all, will only cost a 100 bucks ($99 to be exact).
We have already seen leaked images of the white iPhone 4G / HD before, but this time it has appeared on a video which looks like been grinded down a lot by some crappy video editing skills. Although the white iPhone in video looks quite a lot like the one we’ve seen previously leaked but the extreme lighting exposure makes it hard for us to point out any extra detail at all.
Apparently, an ex-Apple employee has managed to successfully jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iPhone OS 4 Beta. The redsn0w 0.9.5 jailbreak tool for iPhone OS 4 currently works on iPhone 3G only. The support for other iDevices will naturally follow once Apple releases iPhone OS 4 at WWDC. But KaatjeNL’s jailbreak method works on iPhone 3GS too. And the best thing about it is that it doesn't upgrade your baseband, which means you can enjoy iPhone OS 4, fully jailbroken on the older baseband with an unlock using ultrasn0w.
According to the latest round of rumors, Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer will make a surprise appearance at WWDC 2010 (7 minutes to be exact from Steve Jobs keynote) to announce Visual Studio 2010 for iPhone, iPad and Mac OS development. John Gruber of Daring Fireball reports the following.
Although it’s quite evident that the new iPhone 4G / HD will hit the shelves this June, but now another report has just came in which AT&T has confirmed to it’s employees that there will be a new iPhone and it will hit the stores this June. Yes June it is for availability as apposed to July as previously thought and it wont even be late June.
Redsn0w has just been updated to beta 4 to support the latest iPhone OS 4 Beta 4 firmware. iPhone OS 4 Beta 4 was released by Apple last week, which since Beta 2 has closed the jailbreak loophole used by Redsn0w 0.9.5b1 and b2 to jailbreak OS 4. But with this latest version of redsn0w, you should be able to jailbreak iPhone OS 4 again on iPhone 3G.
