The wait is finally over! Microsoft today at their E3 event has announced Kinect for Xbox 360. Microsoft Kinect was previously known as Project Natal and was first shown off at E3 2009. With Kinect for Xbox 360, you are the controller in extraordinary new ways, with full body play, arms, legs, feet and hands. “It’s so natural, so intuitive that technology evaporates, letting the natural magic in all of us shine through. All you need to do is jump in”.
Yes, you read that right! Microsoft today at their E3 event has confirmed that Xbox 360 Slim is real, and is available as of today for US $299. This new model brings built-in Wi-Fi 802.11N, compatibility with Kinect for Xbox 360, and 250GB HDD.
Apparently, a new ad has popped up on some international sites (specifically Italian) which features the new “yet to be announced” Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim. The ads says that this new Xbox 360 includes built-in Wi-Fi, compatibility with newly announced “Kinect” for Xbox 360, and it sports 250GB of hard disk drive.
Following the leaks, Microsoft decided to officially take the wraps off the new title for Project Natal, which is now dubbed as “Kinect” for Xbox 360 ahead of their E3 media event. If you have been living under a rock or something and don’t know what it is all about: Kinect for Xbox 360 (formerly Project Natal) introduces controller-free gaming with which you take full control of the games by simply moving around, jumping, punching and kicking or whatever you feel like doing. It will detect almost anything you do! You can even move through the beautiful interface by swiping your hands back and forth ala Minority Report style!
