CyanogenMod 7 for HP TouchPad has made further progress today, as the developers have announced a tool called ACME Installer which will allow users to dual-boot CM7 with webOS on their TouchPad.
With iPhone excitement beginning to reach fever pitch head of tomorrow's announcement by Apple, we're beginning to see all kinds of leaks and web-based mishaps. The latest in a long line is from Vodafone's German arm, who's web store now appears to be listing new iPhone models in its compatibility lists.
SpyPhoto is a Cydia tweak which allows taking of photographs using an iDevice's front or rear facing camera, without the need to open the Camera app. Added benefits include the fact that no sound is made either, meaning it's great for when you're on a top secret espionage mission, or trying to get photos of a prototype iPhone without Tim Cook's cronies knowing.
Samsung's recently released AllShare DLNA app offers Windows Phone owners of the Sammy persuasion the ability to share all kinds of media over a WiFi network to any DLNA-compatible TV or set-top box. The problem though, is that when attempting to run the app on certain Samsung devices, users were met with an error, and as a result were unable to take advantage of what AllShare has to offer. The popular belief is that Samsung doesn't want owners of certain handsets to have access to AllShare, though the reasoning is unclear. With that in mind, it's possible that users could experience some off behavior on certain handsets, but we've not seen any reports either for, or against that theory just yet.
If there is one major complaint that can be leveled at Apple's stock iOS Photos app, it's the complete lack of any kind of basic image editing features. There isn't even a way to rotate your photos, for those rare occasions you manage to take a photo with your iPhone in the wrong orientation.
