Download HTC One Wallpapers From Sense 5

Ben Reid·March 12, 2013
It's rather strange that, even in this day and age where technologies seem to be advancing at an exponential rate, we still have time to consider something as menial as the choice of wallpaper. Whenever a new version of Windows arrives, for example, much is often made of the design choices of the supplementary backdrop selection, and when it comes to smartphones, similar rules apply. HTC's One offers many great features, and with the aftermarket Sense 5 preloaded atop Android Jelly Bean, there's yet another varied selection of wallpapers on offer. HTC's One may not yet have hit the market, but already, its wallpapers have been pulled and upped to the interwebs, and you can download them right now.

Some people just like taking things apart, but that's just half of the process. Once you're left with a big bag of bits, you need to put it all back together again and hope that it works when you press that big power button. Putting it all back together and making it better than the original takes things to a whole new level, and that's what Ben Heck has become so well known for.

The iPhone 5S Knockoff Is Already Here, Powered By Jelly Bean, Dual-Core Processor And More [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·March 12, 2013
With Apple being the world’s most valuable company, it’s hardly surprising that bootleggers dedicate their time and efforts to creating fake versions of its revered product range. The term knockoff has even been coined to describe these devices and their makers, and watching these attempts slip through the net and into the market has become something of a spectator sport. With the Cupertino company rumored to be plotting the ‘iPhone 5S’ for release in the near future, resident rip-off merchant Goophone has come through with its ‘i5S’ handset, and although we wouldn’t be tempted by a copycat device perhaps ourselves, it’s not hard to see how the company stays in business.

Apple Airs Two New iPhone 5 Ads Showing Passbook, Philips Hue Lights, Maps And More [VIDEOS]

Paul Morris·March 12, 2013
Apple as a company is extremely meticulous and consistent when it comes to things like advertising and marketing. The company's television based ad campaigns have become famous all over the world in recent years for their simplicity and insistence of focusing purely on the products and removing anything else that simply isn't important to the user experience. The Cupertino based company has recently posted two new iPhone 5 based commercials on its website where that consistency is once again highlighted with the 'Discover' and 'Brilliant' ads.

Watch The iPhone Home Screen Do The Harlem Shake [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·March 12, 2013
It is starting to get a little tedious now, but you still have to admire the ingenuity that people are applying into finding new ways and locations to record one of those increasingly annoying Harlem Shake videos. We've seen airline staff taking the limelight. We've seen Australian miners staring danger in the face by recording themselves performing an underground version of the dance as well as multiple military parades breaking into the trend. It seems that not even technology is exempt from this craze, with jailbroken iPhones also getting involved in the action.

Instagram For Windows Phone Revealed In Leaked Screenshots? [IMAGES]

Ben Reid·March 12, 2013
The fact that Windows Phone is far, far behind the likes of iOS and Android in terms of numbers of apps is one thing, but the fact that many "core" apps are missing only serves to amplify the problem. Instagram is one app which, for some, has hindered potential migration from the aforementioned big two platforms, and love or loathe the filter-laden network, its popularity is undeniable. For Windows Phone to take a decent cut of the market share, apps such as Instagram will need to materialize sooner rather than later, and whether it be wishful thinking or a legitimate claim, a screenshot has emerged depicting the Facebook-owned app on the Windows Phone Store.

PlayStation 4 And Xbox 720 Games Will Be Priced At $70, According To Analyst

Ben Reid·March 12, 2013
The words of analysts are, more often than not, to be taken with a pinch of salt; especially in a technology industry where most supposition is based on little more than educated guesswork. Gamers will be hoping Michael Pachter has gotten his numbers muddled up somewhere, after the game financial analyst, of Wedbush Securities, suggested that games for the PlayStation 4 and unannounced next-gen Xbox console could tip the scales at a hefty $70. Speaking to a panel in Austin, Texas, he also foresees Microsoft coming out on top in the battle of the next-gen consoles, as it has done with the Xbox 360.

Peekly For iPhone Gives The iOS Lock Screen A Much-Needed Overhaul, Here’s How To Install It [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·March 12, 2013
With the omni-present iOS Vice President Scott Forstall having been given his marching orders following the disastrous iOS 6 Maps app (among other things), there's a real feeling that iOS 7 will - with Jony Ive at the helm - actually address some of the long-standing issues with Apple's mobile software. Thus, designers have been doubly busy over the past few months in lending their skills and creativity to dreaming up news ways iOS 7 can offer a significantly enhanced user experience, and following the revamped Weather app concept from a couple of days back, a new jailbreak tweak / theme by the name of Peekly adds a beautiful, slide-to-reveal element to the inherently dull iOS lock screen.
