Motion tracking technology has seen something of a boom in the consumer market in recent times, and not only have we seen products like the Nike FuelBand take the market by storm, but mobile devices have also proven themselves to be worthy accompaniments to the fitness-conscious. With the right app and solid hardware, a smartphone can make for a very useful activity-tracker, and Fitbit for iOS latest app update aims to achieve exactly that with your iPhone 5s.
P0sixspwn for Mac OS X is out. Follow the instructions on how to jailbreak iOS 6.1.5, 6.1.4 and 6.1.3 untethered on iPhone 5, 4s, 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4, 5 and other devices.
Apple's '12 Days of Gifts' initiative is in full swing, and while some people may have been disappointed with some of the apps, movies and music that have been on offer for free by the folks in Cupertino, we're supremely confident that the latest offering to be dangled in front of customers will be extremely well received.
The current "Failed to Fetch HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found" errors that have been overshadowing the brand new jailbreak release are being most caused by the repos which are either down or have temporary connectivity issues, but thankfully, a fix isn’t too hard.
It's always been something of a thorn in the side of people who like their Android smartphones. It's all well and good picking up a fancy new phone with (hopefully) the latest version of Android running on top of it. Often the device ships with a version of Android that is already out of date, but while with other platforms this could be easily fixed by downloading an updated version of the software, that isn't quite the case with Android.
Sometimes, especially when a new jailbreak is released after a big iOS refresh, some people need what they feel to be a good reason to get back into the jailbreaking world. They've almost become accustomed to the way their device works, and the limitations put on what it can do. They don't miss their jailbreak, and they're happy as they are.
Updated Evasi0n 7.x untether package has just gone live on Cydia. The new version 0.2 of the package in Cydia brings all the changes that were part of standalone Evasi0n7 1.0.1 which was released as a tool for Windows and Mac a few days ago.
Another year is drawing to a close, which means that we'll have gone another twelve months without an Apple television being released. While that fact seems to perpetually bamboozle so-called analysts, it probably won't come as too much of a shock to those that don't spend their days with their heads in the clouds. Still, just because Apple hasn't announced its own television, that doesn't mean that we can't have some fun.
It's amazing how jailbreaking seems to go in waves. We have those busy spells where all we ever seem to hear about is new tweaks and apps hitting Cydia that should, hopefully, blow our minds and change the way we use our iOS devices. Then we have a period like the one that we've just come out of, where interest seems to wane and jailbreaking almost slips into hibernation.
Well, we're not entirely convinced that many people will care about this as such, but given Nokia's apparently combative stance on the subject, we thought it would be worth sharing. The more we think about it, the more puzzled we get.
