Apple has surprised us all today by announcing a new and improved Beats Pill bluetooth speaker, and is calling it the Pill+. The new speaker isn't a radical retake of the original Pill with Apple focusing on making some serious under-the-hood improvements to produce what could arguably be the best sounding Pill ever. Pill+ is set to replace the original Pill speaker which was launched back in 2012. It is larger than previous Pill, but smaller than now discontinued Pill XL.
Facebook is continuing the rollout of new features for those accessing the social network's features via mobile devices. After providing a handful of iOS users with the ability to upload a short seven second video as their profile picture that would continuously loop, the Palo Alto-based social networking giant has now upgraded its photo-editing suite of features to include an excellent and fun new scribble functionality that lets users turn illustrator by doodling directly onto photographs. The feature is available on both the iOS and Android platforms.
The iPhone 6s may not be plagued by any issues as extreme as last year's "bendgate" scandal, but that doesn't mean that certain users don't think the phone's without its problems. In the small amount of time that the handset has been available, we've heard of consumers taking to various Apple forums to complain of the iPhone 6s shutting itself down and feeling extremely hot. There were also reports of the phone overheating to an extent that iOS actually prompted the user about the condition. Now, another set of users are starting to notice that the Home button on the iPhone 6s unit is feeling increasingly hot and dissipating what feels like huge amounts of heat over the surface area of the button.

Sometimes you wait for a very long time for a software update and then two come along in quick succession. That's what it must feel like to Tweetbot users, because after Tapbots released a new version of its popular iOS Twitter client last week, today the company also saw the Mac client by the same name receive a similar update. Both apps had not seen any significant changes or updates in quite some time, making both new versions highly anticipated indeed.
The set-top box market has been ticking along nicely for quite some time. There's always been plenty of options for consumers in that particular space, but no-one seemed to actually put the time, effort, and resources into producing something that blew the market away, cementing itself as the de-facto choice in the process. The introduction of the Apple TV 4 may have changed that, meaning the competition has felt the need to go back to the drawing board and rethink their products. The newly unveiled Roku 4 - that's 4 for 4K - is Roku's answer to the recent Apple TV and Amazon 4K Fire TV announcements, and it certainly packs a punch.
