Sony has ramped up the console wars right in the middle of the festive shopping season with an exciting sale relating to its PlayStation 4 bundles. The holiday sale, which sees the Japanese company push the PlayStation 4 with various bundle packages for $299.99 only, is live right now, and follows on from the extremely successful PlayStation 4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle that went on sale during Black Friday. This particular festive season offer sees as much as $50-$100 dropping off the price of the PS4 console, with the added benefit of getting a free, cutting-edge leading title thrown in for good measure.
Those who are looking to jump on the PlayStation 4 band wagon, either for themselves or as a gift for someone in the run up to Christmas, would be foolish to not take advantage of Sony’s cut-price holiday bundle deals. As announced earlier by Sony, the console-maker will be offering two bundles that fall under the $299.99 price tag.
The first, will be a follow on from the Black Friday offering that so many consumers snapped up, and will offer a brand new 500GB PlayStation 4 console complete with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. If you’re more of a Star Wars fan, or buying for someone who loves that particular franchise, then Sony will also be offering a Star Wars Battlefront bundle with the 500GB console.
In addition to including the 500GB PlayStation 4 console and the featured game, the bundle will also include a single DualShock 4 wireless controller, a mono in-ear wired headset, and all associated power and charging cables necessary to operate the device and accessories. Purchase of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle comes with a hard, physical copy of the title while the Star Wars Battlefront bundle comes with a digital download of the game. Sony does include four classic Star Wars games in the box of the Battlefront bundle for those that not only love the franchise, but also love revisiting legacy titles in the series.
The PlayStation 4 bundle sale is live right now, and will run through till December 19 when Sony will revert back to the official retail price of $350. With that said, Sony has a history with extending promotions of this nature so don’t be surprised if it goes above and beyond the marketed December 19 end date.
