macOS Sonoma Final Release Date Announced By Apple

Apple has confirmed when macOS Sonoma will be released to the public, and it’s going to arrive very soon indeed.

Apple announced macOS Sonoma during the WWDC event on June 5 and it’s been in beta ever since. But Apple didn’t say when we should expect the update to be made available to the public beyond a vague timeframe that didn’t really confirm all that much.

But now, after the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro event that just finished, Apple has confirmed that macOS Sonoma will ship to the world on September 26.

That news comes after Apple updated its macOS Sonoma preview webpage to say that the software will be available on September 26.

With macOS Sonoma, work and play on your Mac are even more powerful. Elevate your presence on video calls. Access information in all-new ways. Boost gaming performance. And discover even mor  e ways to personalize your Mac.

The macOS Sonoma update brings with it a few improvements and new features, but the biggest change is undoubtedly the addition of new widgets that can live on the Mac’s desktop for the first time. The new widget implementation even allows iPhone widgets to be placed on the Mac for the first time, opening the door to an untold number of new options for Mac users.

Apple will make macOS Sonoma available on plenty of older Macs including the 2019 iMac or later, 2017 iMac Pro, and 2018 Mac mini or later. You can see the full list of supported Macs on Apple’s macOS Sonoma website.
