macOS 26 Tahoe Compatibility: Full List Of Macs Compatible With Apple’s Latest Desktop OS

Here is the macOS 26 Tahoe compatibility list showing Macs that are compatible with Apple’s latest desktop operating system. If your Mac isn’t on this list, you won’t be able to install macOS 26, unfortunately.

If you are the proud owner of an iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, Mac Studio, or Mac Pro on this list below, the good news is that you can install the latest software that Apple has to offer.

This update includes all of the new features and improvements that were announced during the WWDC event on June 9, 2025, and you’ll definitely want to take advantage of them if your Mac can run the new update.

In terms of compatibility, the new macOS 26 software can be installed on all of the following machines:

  • MacBook Air with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
  • MacBook Pro with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • iMac (2020 and later)
  • Mac Studio (2022 and later)
  • Mac mini (2020 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2019 and later)

This means that there are a number of Macs that supported macOS Sequoia but have been dropped from support by macOS 26. Those Macs include the 2018 MacBook Pro and 2018 Mac mini as well as the 2017 iMac Pro and 2020 Intel MacBook Air.

Apple also announced a number of new updates at WWDC for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
