iPhone SE 2 Concept Shows Apple’s $349 Budget Phone With An iPhone X-Like Edge-To-Edge Screen

Apple’s iPhone X is the first in what is likely to be a long line of new iPhones, or more accurately, its design is likely to be the one that future iPhones are based on. Rumors of a new Plus-sized iPhone X have been around on and off for a little while now, and we have even seen some images showing what that might look like.

Now, German magazine Curved has joined in on the fun, but while the outlet’s idea of what an iPhone X Plus will look like is instantly familiar, it’s the inclusion of the iPhone SE 2 in the renderings that catches our eye.

As you might expect, Curved’s iPhone X Plus design is simply a blown up iPhone X, with the same design simply growing. With that in mind, we would expect to see a device physically similar in size to the iPhone 8 Plus, but with a larger display thanks to the removal of large bezels and of course, the Home button. None of this is particularly interesting, but Curved has also created a design showing off the iPhone SE 2, again based on iPhone X design language.

While the iPhone SE, whenever it does receive a refresh, is likely to remain as Apple’s more budget friendly device, Curved has ignored that and given it the same OLED display as the iPhone X, even going so far as to remove the Home button. That means Face ID would be needed, and while we strongly doubt that OLED or Face ID will be phrases uttered in the same sentence as iPhone SE next year because of its $349 price, we would love to be proven wrong.

Until then, we suggest you just enjoy what Curved has put together. The iPhone X Plus is almost a certainty for 2018 in our eyes. The iPhone SE 2 may well be real, too, but don’t expect it to resemble Curved’s render, even slightly.
