Here’s iOS 18.4 battery life drain test that you as an iPhone user might want to check out.
Apple’s iOS 18.4 update is almost here, and as always, battery life is a big concern for users. To see how well it performs, iAppleBytes ran tests on multiple iPhones, including the iPhone 16, 15, 13, 11, XR, and SE.
Each iPhone had a fresh install of iOS 18.4 and was given 24 hours to settle before testing. To ensure fair results, screen brightness was set at 25%, and all devices were connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
The Geekbench Battery Test was used in two modes:
- Full Discharge Mode: Drains the battery from 100% to 0%, giving the most accurate results.
- Partial Discharge Mode: Measures battery efficiency over a few hours, providing moderate reliability.
Higher scores indicate better performance and power efficiency. While full discharge results are the most trustworthy, partial tests still give a good snapshot of battery performance.
So, does iOS 18.4 improve or hurt battery life? These test results provide a clear look at how well the update manages power. If you’re wondering whether to update, this might help you decide whether to install it right away or wait.
