iOS 17.4 Final Expected Release Date For iPhone, Here’s What We Know

Here’s iOS 17.4 final release date expectation for iPhone that you may need to know about.

Apple’s iOS 17.4 software update is currently in development and it’s expected that it will be released relatively soon. And while Apple hasn’t yet officially confirmed when that will happen, we can take an educated guess based on a couple of factors.

Apple’s press release confirming that there are major changes coming to the App Store in the EU confirmed that iOS 17.4 will be released in March.

It’s worth noting that the EU rules that iOS 17.4 is being released in order to meet will come into force on March 6.

Developers can learn about these changes on the Apple Developer Support page and can begin testing new capabilities today in the iOS 17.4 beta. The new capabilities will become available to users in the 27 EU countries beginning in March 2024.

With that in mind, we can expect that Apple will release the iOS 17.4 software update before that date which in turn means that it has to arrive pretty soon. We expect Apple to release the final beta next week with the final version shipping the week after.

The iOS 17.4 update will be a free download and compatible with all of the same iPhones that previous iOS 17.4 updates have worked with.

It’ll bring with it a number of new features including the ability to use third-party app stores in the EU as well as tweaks to third-party payment options. Outside the EU, users can also expect to be able to enjoy transcripts in the Podcasts app, generate virtual card numbers for their Apple Cash card, and more.
