iOS 13.2 Reveals In-Ear Apple AirPods 3 Design With Noise-Canceling Feature

AirPods are pretty great, but you know what’s even better? Noise cancelling AirPods. They might not exist just yet, but a new glyph found in the first iOS 13.2 beta suggests that they’re on their way.

Spotted by 9to5Mac, the glyph was found in “a component of the system related to accessibility settings, suggesting that these will work as hearing aids, similar to what can be done with the current AirPods.”

There are other references within iOS 13.2 which appear to suggest there will be different listening modes including with or without noise cancelling active. There will also be a new “focus mode” but it isn’t clear quite what that will be.

The report also notes that the unannounced AirPods carry the mode code B298, although we expect something altogether more catchy when they’re actually announced to the world.

What’s even more interesting is the fact that the glyph actually resembles recent leaks coming in what is claimed to be a prototype of the AirPods 3.

It’s possible that will be during a media event this month. The rumored Tile-like trackers are also likely to be announced, with the 16-inch MacBook Pro also penciled in as a possible announcement. At this point, however, it’s impossible to say. There’s the rumored iPad Pro refresh as well.

The 2019 iPad Pro is thought to have the same triple camera setup that graces the iPhone 11 Pro, making it one of the largest, most capable cameras we’ve ever come across. Assuming the rumors and leaks are true, of course.
