First GTA VI Trailer Released After Leak Causes Rockstar To Unveil The Game Early

While everyone else was waiting for Rockstar to share the first trailer for the upcoming and hotly anticipated GTA VI game, someone didn’t want to wait — so they got their hands on the trailer early and leaked it.

Rockstar’s response? Share the real deal on YouTube and share its press release early.

The leak was posted to an X account that has now been suspended, but you can watch the official GTA VI trailer on the Rockstar YouTube channel right now. Rockstar’s press release also confirms that the game will launch in 2025, adding that it will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. There’s no mention of  PC release, however.

Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet

The new game will see the return of Vice City, and the trailer gives us a good idea of what we can expect from the game in 2025. Fans of the previous games can expect much of the same, it seems, with plenty of gunfights and car chases based around two characters in what appears to be a Bonnie and Clyde setup. We won’t spoil the trailer for you — just watch it and you’ll see what we mean.

While people will no doubt have wished the game would launch in 2024 and not 2025, the lack of a PC version is likely to be more troubling for some. However, it’s possible that the PC will still get GTA VI, but when that will happen is now very much up in the air.
