Download: iOS 17.1.2 IPSW Links, OTA Update For iPhone, iPad Out Now

Apple has today released for download iOS 17.1.2 IPSW links, OTA update for iPhone and iPad to the public, giving them the chance to download the new releases for the first time.

The new iOS 17.1.2 update arrives alongside an updated macOS, bringing the Mac’s software version to macOS Sonoma 14.1.2.

In the case of the iPhone update, Apple has not said exactly what went into this release other than to describe it as one that includes security updates. That means that there are unlikely to be any new features in this release, although it is possible that there are new bug fixes applied.

In particular, Apple says that it has fixed a security issue that affected the processing of web content.

Apple is currently working on a much bigger update for the iPhone, iOS 17.2, and it’s thought that software will be made available for download before the Christmas holidays. It will include the Journal app for the first time, but while early betas included support for collaborative Apple Music playlists that feature was removed in the most recent beta.

Those with compatible iPhones should download iOS 17.1.2 now to ensure they have the latest fixes. You can download the relevant IPSW files manually from the links below, or just grab the OTA update from your iPhone or iPad.
